Stalking! What does it mean? (Part One)
I am going to talk about stalking for a moment! Stalking is an ugly thing that we don't deserve but somehow we get it anyways. There is a story about stalking that I will post at a later date. But I will post an essay that I did, when I was in college, it about stalking and about how police don't really care.
I have taken my time to focus on something that is current in the public, but not noticeable – stalking. It holds a valuable thing too many others. How come nobody does not talk about it? Why the police does ignored it? I thought I would do some analyzing about the current event that is happening. As I was doing researched about the current event, it lend me to the four ethical traditions.
The situation on stalking comes to no surprise. It something that does not take notice from the police. They show no remorse of what going on. When it comes from reporting it, the police would say, “Did they hurt you.” When you say no. They say they can’t do nothing. In 5 out of 10 people will take it in their own hands. What happens to the people when they take in their own hands? What happen to the police when they don’t do nothing to help the ones being stalk? Why does the average person have to put up with being stalk, like they are a movie?
There are some who feels that stalking should be a law. When the person look it up it already a law. So why does anyone take it in to consideration? Some people would say that the police are futile and careless and find it difficult to realized on someone who never so no remorse of what happening to them. Why does the law say, when you need help call 911? Why call 911 when they never show up? Why put someone life at risk for the sake of carelessness?
According to the Greek Tradition, if they knew that I was being stalk. They would tell me, “Why should we pay any attention at all to what is just or right or fair.” I feel that that the Greek is like the police, why must we feel the need to pay attention to anything.” I also feel that the Greek is right about one thing in being stalk, “There are many ways to avoid death in every danger if a man is willing to say and to do anything.” From the reading of Plato. The Greek feel that you should avoid death in every possible way. I believe that the Greeks are powerful people that people should take caution. I think the Greek made it clear for those who double cross them, they condemn Socrates to death. I think in order to condemn someone to death, they should done something that would out them to death, From the reading of Plato, it was clear that in order for the police to do something, you must be wealthy. “What do you take to be the advantage you have got from being wealthy? I think it means that the only way the police will listen, is money will talk. According to Thrasymachus, define justice as a way that might must by definition, make right. He claims that the unjust man is not “right,” he’s still happier. I would think that the police would try to help the stalker more than they would do for me, because I am a nothing, and they will take sympathy of the stalker, because they know him.
According to Glaucon, “I will begin with my first point: the nature and origin of justice.” I think the person have the right to make their own justice. I also think that they valve their life from being harm from others. I do believe that the stalker does not have the right to come in someone life and do torture to them. “The virtues we seek are wisdoms, courage, temperance, and justice: justice, the culminating virtue for the state, will be last,” according to the Greeks.
In my opinion of being stalk, I think I should be allow to take it in my hands and be able to free myself from harm and not have to worry about something that could have me ended up dead somewhere. I think that the police should show more authority towards those who are being stalk and not have to be afraid of going out of their house or being shoot at from walking down the street. The Greeks states that justice is the power which produces states or individuals of who that is true or must we look further. I think that justice should be look further upon and be able to show that we are not afraid of anything that we do. From the Greeks stand point, they have a strong courage for virtue. Virtue is two kinds, intellectual and moral. Intellectual virtue in the main owes both its birth and its growth to teaching, requires experience and time. While moral virtue comes about as the result of habit, whence also its name ethike is one that is formed by a slight variation from the word ethos (habit). The situation that I am in, was I habit that my ex-boyfriend decided to keep coming back where he had to put me on his priority list of being stalk.
According to the Religious Tradition, religion has more influence on the ethical behavior of contemporary humans than all the philosophy in history. Is stalking a person, someone religion or someone fact of life. Religious Tradition, is all about the command of god. Religious tradition comes to no surprise.
When the stalker decided to do the crime. He should get punish for his sins. If this saying was true or if this make people listen, I would use it, “You speak to us and we will hear: but let not god speak to us, lest we die (Exodus: Moses PG 51). I would use this saying to show proof of something, like with being stalk. When no one wanted to listen. The police thought that I was on medical when the first time I did tell. All that change while I was reading the Religious Tradition. It change me. “Do not fear, for god has come to prove you and that the fear of him may be before your eyes, that you may not sin,” said Moses.
When I look in the mirror. I see a person who change. “Love is patient and kind: Love is not jealous or boastful: it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way: it is not irritable or resentful: it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoice in the right. Love bears all things believes all things hopes all things endure all things (I Corinthians pg. 65).
In my situation of being stalk, my ex was jealous. He was jealous when I was with him and when I wasn’t with him. I think if you love someone, they should not have to feel like you are being jealous, they love only you.
According to Religious Tradition there are two kinds of elements of the biblical Tradition that are meaningful to everyday life. One is the commitment and treatment for all, most meaningful to the needy and poor. Second one is the command to love god and to love all others.
I have to admit I do love my ex but I can love someone who jealous and tries to be bossy. I can love him as person and the person he once was.
According to The Moral Law, which is the path we shall explore seized upon the element of law-derived from the law that governed the polis-as the fundamental moral structure. In chapter XXV, “If these things are true and if we are not stupid or insincere, when we say that the good or ill of men lies within his own will and that all besides is nothing tous why are still trouble?
Do I think my ex was sick and medication when he decided to stalk me or was he taking something to make him feel this way? When I try to bring it up, my ex just stand there in shock and don’t want to talk at all. Do I think he is lying? Yes, I do think him lying, because there have to be a reason why he doing what he does, and there should be a purpose of what he does.
According to Moral Law, From Thomas Aquinas, Summa theological, and Article 2: States because man is governed sufficiently by the eternal law for Augustine says (De Lib Arb 1.6) that, “the eternal law is that by which it is right that all things should be most orderly.” But nature does not abound in superfluities as neither does she fail in necessaries. Therefore no law is natural to man.
My Question is not answer, is it natural to men to stalk women and be the most powerful person he can be. Also when I was being stalk, I didn’t show no fear. I just show angry. I was angry that he was capable of doing this.
The moral law help the fact and understanding how a person should be, like with the natural order. Why should we obey, when we don’t really know the understanding of it? I understand it to the point of when I read it. For example, when I make a mistake by dating a man that I didn’t know was capable of doing something. I didn’t know why how a person just became something different overnight. If I could make sense of all this, then I would cut off men altogether, cause I don’t want to feel like my life is over, and that I would have to be hidden away like some creature that is too ugly to be seen.
Further, the natural law is consequent to human nature (Obj 2: question xciv). Human nature is like one society that controls everything like a law. But I don’t understand the fact is that when stalking did became a human nature. What did I do to trigger something so criminally that could of put me in harm way.
Moral law can be understood in 2 ways. The first way is addition, is nothing hinders the natural law from being changes since many things for the benefit of human life have been added over and about the natural law, by the divine law and the human laws. The second way is Subtraction. The previously was according to the natural law ceases to be so. The natural law is unchangeable.
Is the natural law that my ex, decided to stalk me. I still think he was sick when he decided to do that me, and try to make my life hell. I understand the moral law. I understand the fact that it was is way of life to so something that was capable of bringing harm in both of our lives and the fact is he thought he was powerful to do something like that. When someone becomes a stalker, they learn the rules to not get caught or notice, they act like they are normal, and that the person they are stalking is the nutty one.
According to the Utilitarianism Traditions, which that brings of pleasure and pain. When my ex decided to stalk me, it bought me pain. But I didn’t really take much notices of it, because all I felt was anger, and that what I kept feeling. If I could sit him down and talk to him and figure out why he stalk me in the first place then maybe I could see the point of everything.
From Chapter 4, (chapter 2 note 150) it states that to observe the variety of inventions men have hit upon and the variety of phrases that they have brought forward. According to the Utilitarianism Traditions, it defines pleasure, so when my ex stalk me did it gave him pleasure and when I went to the police, did it gave them pleasure to laugh at me and make fun. I think that men should take the consideration of women feeling.
The creed which accepts as the foundation of morals, utility or the greatest happiness principle holds that actions are right in proportion as they tend to promote happiness, wrong as they tend to produce the reverse of happiness, (SR 160). I think my ex didn’t have good morals, because he gave me nothing but pain and made me suffer of why he was doing what he was doing and that is called stalking me, for the most of the time we was broken up.
I think that the law should change to the point of where we can being justice to ourselves, and don’t be hold accountable of the action we intend to make, because of something that bothers us. I also think that the law should change in order for us to be freed. People actions can speak louder then words. When actions lead to pleasure it good and when action causes pain it evil, but the question remains unanswer, why commit to doing something that should not be done in the first place.
