Style Diaries: Your Style Questions Answers!
When it comes to Styling, we all have that problem of what should be together or how to put outfits together. I know once in a blue moon I do have that problem, because sometimes I don't feel like wearing that outfit, or the pants, I want to wear them with something else, which is hard, cause sometimes you may not own it and you have to go shopping and sometimes I don't feel like going shopping, either because I am being lazy or don't have the money, because you just got done paying a bill or something, which is really hard.
When creating this questions and answer for you guys it was hard, because I am not sure how you would feel about it. The different between me and everyone else, I like to try on multiple clothing before I put things together, or I simply put in on my floor and simply say do I like this or do I hate it. I think putting things on the floor is a lot simpler, because you get to see all the accessories that you would like to wear them with or you can see the vision of things. So here are questions that some or all of you would like to know, I can simply answer them for you.
1) What can I wear with knee high boots, especially for date night?
When wearing knee high boots, to me, I like to pair them up with leggings, a cardigan and a tank top with lace, instead of looking like you are dress up, you are more like casual, I think whoever you are with, will like it better. Also if you are up for it, you can easily find a simple low beat dress and pair it with a cardigan and knee high boots. It simple, you can also put everything you own and want to wear, on the floor and try pairing them up with certain items and see if you like it.
2) Can I wear sweaters with Leggings?
You can, just be careful, cause sometimes, when wearing low cut and short swearing, will make the outfit look like someone tried to hard. So when you want to wear sweaters with leggings, make sure that the sweaters are long and try to wear boots with the outfit as well. The boots depends on you. So my suggestion is put the legging on and try on every sweater you have, if they are short, think of trying to hard.
3) What not to wear for an interview?
When it comes to this one, I have a hard time, because I still don't know what to wear, because I always want to grab my knee high boots, but we all know that we can't wear our knee high boots to a job interview. So my suggestion is always wear black because it more flattering and because it means you want the job. Always keep a dressy pants and a dressy sweaters and maybe a dressy top and some thick heels to keep in your closet, until you get the job and you go from there and figure out what type of clothing you have to wear.
4) What can I wear to a wedding, when white is not an option?
There are so many coloring that you can wear, so If I were you, I would stick with the greys, blues, pinks and purple. Sometimes black can't be wore to a wedding cause some will think it bad luck for the bride. So my suggestion is I would stick with blue and greys.
5) What the perfect outfit to wear on date night, when it your anniversary?
I will just keep it simple, make it more comfortable for you, and also make sure that there always chocolate wearing for your partner to come home to. Always make sure that you also something cooking. You don't need to get all dress up, when you also have valentine day and also your birthday and their birthday. So it the anniversary simple, but classy.
6) How can I match up an outfit to look like one of my favorite celebrities?
I would say don't be like a celebrity, it better to create your own and follow a celebrity outfit, It better to stand on your own and it better to create your look and maybe have a celebrity follow yours and make sure it your look.
7) How can I follow trends when I have no money?
There always a way, you can go to your local thrift Stores and find a lot of pieces. For one thing there is goodwill and they always have the dollar sell on Sundays, so please make sure you go there, and find some pieces of trends that you would like to follow. There one thing that I know for sure is that some trends are coming back out from years ago and you might have something in your closet already.
8) What the perfect dress to wear to an event, when the type of dress I want to wear is taken?
Well there are many pretty dresses out there, that are way prettier. So my opinion is always have a second type of dress and go from there. I always have a suggestion, it what I live by, never tell anyone what type of dress you are wearing always keep it to yourself. When someone asks you, say, I have not found my dress yet.
9) What the type of outfits to wear in winter?
I always think of fleece and knitted items for the winter. Sometimes you want to look chic and classy. When it comes to me, I always think of cotton, always go and look for fleece legging but stylish. I also try to find some items that are sweaters. When it comes to winter it hard, all you think about is the cold and snow. So my suggestion is fleece and knitted items.
10) How to wear a certain tube dress without being trashy?
I like to say a blazer type jacket with the tube dress, it more classic and chic without the look of being trashy. Blazers are always the one thing that can tame down a certain look.
